On June 2–3, 2025, Deutsche Telekom’s headquarters in Bonn will once again become the global stage for breakthrough innovation. Twelve finalist teams will present their AI-powered solutions live at the 5th edition of T Challenge, tackling this year’s theme: “AI at the Heart of Telecom.”

The future of telecommunications is being shaped by artificial intelligence, and T Challenge 2025 is at the forefront of this transformation. We are pleased to announce the top 12 teams that have been selected for this year’s program, each bringing groundbreaking AI-driven innovations that align with our theme: “AI at the Heart of Telecom – Transforming Networks, Elevating Customer Experiences”.

BONN, Germany and BELLEVUE, Wash. — Nov. 21, 2024 — Deutsche Telekom AG and T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) have teamed up for the fifth annual T Challenge. Once again, the companies are inviting innovators and disruptors from across the globe to compete for the best uses of AI to enhance telecommunications and the way it integrates with people’s everyday lives.

The winning teams of the T Challenge 2024 have just been announced. First place went to Synthefy (USA), a spinout from Stanford University and the Unversity of Texas, Austin, with generative AI for the analysis of timeseries and network log data. Synthefy’s platform incorporates multi-modal metadata and enables analyzing of timeseries by simple text prompts. Today we talked to Somi Agarwal, CEO of Synthefy.

The telecommunications landscape is rapidly evolving, and AI is at the forefront of this transformation. To accelerate this progress, Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile US have once again joined forces to host the T Challenge, a global competition that awards groundbreaking AI applications in the telecom sector.

On June 10-11, 2024 Deutsche Telekom headquarters in Bonn, Germany, will be the stage for twelve finalist teams. They will present their innovative solutions on “AI for Telecommunications,” as they strive to reimagine the network for the digital age.
